Paid car parks
There are two paid car parks in Kuressaare:
- You can park FREE for up to 90 minutes in the car park of Saaremaa Kaubamaja Department Store. To start parking, register at a parking kiosk, use mobile parking or mobile apps Pargi.ee or Carsleep. Parking zone BP20. Do not use a parking disc! To register your time of parking: find a parking kiosk (porch at car park entrance) and enter your vehicle number.

Time-limited parking in Kuressaare city centre
As of summer 2020, some parking spaces in Kuressaare city centre have a time limit. After two hours, the parking space must be vacated. It is not possible to extend the parking time by paying. Once the two-hour limit is reached, the parking space must be vacated and the car must be parked elsewhere. The start of parking must be recorded using a parking disc. The fine for violating parking rules is €20.
In total, there are approximately 130 time-limited parking spaces in Kuressaare city centre, which are located both on the streets and in larger car parks (some parking spaces of which are time-limited, while others are not). To determine whether a parking space is time-limited or not, it is important to pay attention to the traffic signs. The areas with time limits are marked.

- Transvaali 43
- Tallinna 15, 17, 19, 25 and 32
- Tallinna 20 (Kuressaare Theatre)
- Tallinna 16
- Tallinna 6 (Kuressaare Cultural Centre)
- Tallinna 13 courtyard (St Lawrence Lutheran Church)
- Torni 1
- Tallinna 5
- Tallinna 1 (Kohtu Street side)
- Kauba 2, 6, 8/10
- Kohtu 1 (Lasteaia Street side)
- Lossi 1, 3, 5 and 7
Free parking
All parking spaces outside the above categories are free of charge. These are available both on the streets and in car parks. The two largest car parks in the city centre are located behind the Cultural Centre (Tallinna 6) and at the intersection of Uue and Kaevu streets. When visiting Kuressaare Episcopal Castle, you can park your car on the street at the beginning of Allee Street or in the car par by the Kuressaare Stadium (Staadioni Street). All hotels have their own larger or smaller car parks.
Outside Kuressaare, parking is free everywhere, but traffic rules must be followed.
